Dolores Claiborne was one of my favorite Stephen King books. Hearing it narrated by Frances Sternhagen made it extra special.!!King should have used Sternhagen in the movie version instead of the blah Kathy Bates!! The audio version is super!! Friends who are not Stephen King fans love this audio!!! THANK YOU, the store, FOR MAKING THIS PLUS OTHER AUDIOS AND VIDEOS AVAILABLE AT LOWER PRICES!

I really enjoyed his book. I would suggest sitting down and reading it in one sitting. The way it's written" without chapter breaks is so different and interesting, it really is like being there listening to Dolores's recount of her life

A friend recommended this book, and not being a Steven King fan I ignored her. Until as true book lovers know a day occurs when you've finished the book your reading and the..... " I must read something" happens and I was left with this book. I have to say it rescued me from a reading rut. The plot was different ,a mother doing what she had to do to protect herself and children was just icing on the cake of two women drove to do ........ Well just read it

It was great but frustating to read because you think the crisis of the story seemed to be getting close so you keep reading and then it opens up again and you get no choice but to read on. Will have to read it again to get the information missed in the first reading

I love Stephen King. This book was well written in a style you don't normally see from authors. There are no chapters, which makes it hard to pick a place to stop, and there aren't other character views. It's all one woman. Talking. Lots of taking. Men beware, this may not be the book for you. Kidding aside, King pulled it off magnificently. I think I would have liked a broader view of the story but it was very well written nonetheless.

While it isn't creepy in a supernatural sense, it is creepy in the truth-can-be-stanger-than-fiction sense. The narrator's language defined the sense of place, and her delivery defined a sort of salt-of-the-earth, no one is perfect, honest working class heroine. I liked it.

This is another book I would have enjoyed more if I hadn't watched the movie. Mr. king writes this as a Dolores Claiborne narration. It's an interesting technique. Her style of English wore me down a little. It's a good read!

The one mistake I made with this book was, reading it after the movie. It isn't like the movie and I must say I truly loved the rendition of the movie better. Although the movie could not have come to light without King's superb masterpiece.

Such a great book. I just finished re-reading this book. Of course I am currently reading his newest work The End Of Watch, but next I will have to delve into Gerald's Game as Dolores Claiborne and Gerald's Game go together.

I ordered Dolores Claiborne but got a different S.King book. I'm enjoying it very much. I was initially disappointed in not getting my order, but it's fine.
There are 3 different stories,so it's hard to answer the questions.
